⚠ The ASRS is a screening tool, not a diagnostic instrument. Four or more shaded answers in Part A suggests a fuller ADHD assessment is worthwhile; it does not mean you have ADHD, and scores can be raised by anxiety, depression, poor sleep or trauma. Just as important: a result below the threshold does not rule ADHD out — the screen is tuned against false alarms and tends to miss the quieter, inattentive presentation that is more common in women. Use it as a starting point and a conversation-opener — not a verdict.
